Job Description:
Role Overview:
As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering personalised teaching and learning to pupils with a range of special educational needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health SEMH) needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop positive, supportive relationship with pupils and staff
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Work closely with support staff and external professionals
- Monitor and assess progress, writing IEPs/EHCP reports as required
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Promote emotional regulation and social development through appropriate strategies
Requirements:
- UK teaching experience (preferred)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the updated service (or willing to apply through us)
- Reliable, flexible and professional
